Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Review

Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is just what you would expect from it. It is a light hearted, funny and light shooter that picks up right where the first one left off. This game doubles down on the first one and adds a few new characters to each side and their additions are a pure breath of fresh air.  If you have played through the first one then you are already well aware of the game play mechanics and how it plays out.

There are two sides, the Plants and the obvious Zombies. Each side has characters that each have their own unique ability and weapon, and when working together can be very dangerous. There is however a very slow progression in the multiplayer and a very uninspired single player.

The game is centered around a centralized, playable hub that players can chose what they want to do in the game. You can either choose to jump into the games multiplayer, which is AWESOME, or roam and learn each characters new moves and weaponry. The split screen aspect is a bit troubling. Meaning that, for a mode that should not be tied to any kind of online aspect IS! This means that YES you will need an online connection to connect your account with EA Servers before you can play any of the games split screen multiplayer.

Plants Vs Zombies is a  perfect party game, much like the first one, but with the few hiccups in the games execution make this a little less enjoyable than the first, but the new characters and cool playable hub make this very interesting.
