The Top 10 . . . Game Trailers

We will be going through the Top 10 Video Game Trailers of all time in our weekly countdown special! We start off with our top 10 video game trailers . . .

200708b110. Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC)
Bethesda took the world by storm, after the release of Oblivion with their post apocalyptic thriller Fallout 3! This was a series changer and spawned many Game of the Year Awards, and a sequel that will launch this November 2015!

200024b49. Medal of Honor (2010, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC)
EA brought life back into the Medal of Honor franchise by teaming up with DICE, popular with their Battlefield franchise, by going with the modern day Seals on the grounds of Afghanistan. If it wasn’t the feeling that this trailer brought out of soldiers fighting over seas that didn’t get you hooked, a nice sound from Linkin Park might have just sealed the deal.

270019b8. Team Fortress 2 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC)
Sometimes it can be pretty difficult to pass on a number of trailers that describe each character class with just comedic genius than Valve did with the series of Team Fortress 2 trailers. With Team Fortress 2 being a part of the Orange Box, which had Half Life 2, the expansions and Team Fortress 2 this was a no brainer to get, specifically for console gamers.

526010b27. The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4)
Bethesda has always done a solid job with giving us trailers to their games that leave us excited, but for those of us fans of the Elder Scrolls series we always wanted multiplayer in some form. When Bethesda surprised us with the announcement of ESO, we were stunned, and the Trailer was everything we needed to get fully excited (no pun intended).

640531b6. World of Warcraft (PC)
You cant have any trailer countdown without having Blizzard present on that list in some form. Their Diablo, and Starcraft trailers definitely made our top 20 however its the over achieving they do with World of Warcraft that keeps us coming back. Sure I could have included all of the expansion trailers as well, but why not just go to where it all started!

102173b5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC)
When it came time for Kojima to close out the greatness that was the “Snake” saga, we put together probably one of the most emotional and gripping trailers for his farewell tour. Metal Gear Solid V not only churned out an epic trailer, but the game itself earned extreme high praises as one of the best in the franchise!

200100b4. Gears of War (Xbox 360)
Many probably know, especially if you know me that I am a HUGE Gears of War fan, and have loved all entries with the exception of Judgement, but I always go back to the original. It is very hard to forget the emotion of the games “Mad World” Trailer, and even if you are not a fan of the game, you still appreciate and enjoyed the trailer. It was a perfect collection of cinematic and soundtrack that go you excited for the games epic (see what I did there) release.

200645b3. Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC)
Bioware has always delivered some of the best trailers, and Mass Effect 3 is in our top 20, but I could never get the launch trailer for Mass Effect 2 out of my head. I have completed this story on a couple of different occasions and I still enjoy watching the launch trailer for this game. It did a perfect job of capturing the games intensity, characters, and overall power of the games amazing story.

640292b12. Dead Island (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC)
Who can forget the stunning debut trailer for the open world zombie survival horror game Dead Island? I remember when I was working in the retail atmosphere and I put together my own trailer DVD, I put Dead Island on it and every time, without fail the front of my store would stop and watch the trailer in its entirety without a flinch. I was amazed that a trailer could have an impact like that and I remember thinking to myself, “I don’t care what this game is about, I want it!”. It could be the unique way they did the trailer, in reverse, or the music used, or it could have just been the fact they used an everyday family suffering a loss that no human being should ever endure. The loss of a child.

640353b1. Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC)
Anybody who is a Star Wars fans will put this trailer at the top of their lists. This is a trailer of great scale, and not to mention beauty. It captured everything a Star Wars fan wanted to see from an upcoming MMO.There is really not much that needs to be said about this epic cinematic, but just sit back and enjoy!
